Italy holds a particular place in several African migration routes.

For Congolese people, it can be a country of arrival, but also a transit country toward other European destinations.

Administrative difficulties, language and access to work sometimes make integration complex.

However, some communities manage to organize through churches, associations and family networks.

The Italian exile experience reminds us that each European country produces its own challenges and forms of solidarity.
